Pizza-Making Workshop with Chef Morgan Angelle
Join us for a hands-on class where you’ll mix, shape, top, bake, and enjoy delicious homemade pizza. We’ll explore a variety of flours, including those from Straw Cove’s own stone mill, and dive into different fermentation methods, such as sourdough.
You’ll learn essential techniques like hand mixing and dough shaping, followed by topping and baking your pizza on a stone—just like you would at home. We’ll also explore techniques for outdoor wood-fired and gas pizza ovens.
Chef Morgan Angelle, founder of Straw Cove Baking Co., seasoned baker and devoted pizza enthusiast, will guide you through each step and answer all your dough and pizza questions.
Each participant will receive a Straw Cove Baking Co. workbook, designed as a lasting reference for your pizza and bread baking adventures.
You’ll also take home dough you prepared in class—ready to bake or freeze the next day—along with two pizza dough recipes to keep the creativity going at home.
This workshop welcomes all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned home bakers. Don’t hesitate to join in!
