Why fresh milled flour?

Milling and baking with fresh whole wheat flour is a no-brainer for us. We are all about good bread and there is no better way to live up to that standard than to start with the most flavorful and nutritionally valuable flour we can.

Our New American Stone Mill is made in Vermont by experienced crafts people using local quarried Natural Barre Gray stone. The mill is a beautiful representation of ancient techniques combined with modern ingenuity.

The process of stone milling preserves the nutritional integrity of the grain by crushing it between granite stones. In this method, the germ and bran remain intact, resulting in a whole flour that is packed with vitamins and minerals.

In order to ensure the best quality flour, we mill grain as close to mixing time as possible.

    We will also offer bakery popups where you can order the bread online and pick it up at our location.
