Learn about Chef Katie:

Katie grew up in Maryland, moving south for college at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. She studied Culinary Arts and Spanish. After graduating, she moved to New Orleans for a little over a decade beginning her career working pastry at Coquette, Uptown and eventually becoming the pastry chef at MOPHO and Maypop. After the pandemic, she hopped around Texas, working in Austin and Houston for about 3 years honing her skills at places like Uchiko and Lutie's. Eventually, she and her now husband, Jordon, got a little homesick and decided to move back to the boot and have been here for a little over two years. She is currently the baker and CDC of Five Mile Eatery in the Oil Center.
